Each Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTWHSPVA) conservatory has a membership group called a guild that promotes, fosters, and supports the conservatory (Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts).

The Music Guild is a non-profit organization of parents, family, and friends of current and former Booker T. music students whose mission is to provide operational and financial support for the entire Music Conservatory, including the music faculty, students, performing ensembles, and classes.

Your membership in the music guild allows us to provide financial support to all BTW music programs. And your donations supplement the faculty’s needs and enhance the learning experience of the students.

Music Guild Board

The Music Guild is always looking for parents of students who would like to be involved in any capacity or might have a unique skillset, talent or business.

Please reach out to the guild to let us know who you are and how you'd like to volunteer. It is a great way to meet teachers and other parents, and to help our students.

We have specific volunteer needs in hospitality and merchandise committees. Contact the Music Guild President.

More

Music Conservatory

The Music Conservatory at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts has enjoyed decades of providing outstanding music experiences for students. This success has been built upon a strong work ethic and desire to be the eminent high school music program both nationally and internationally.

Though our music students may enter the building as specialized instrumentalists or vocalists, we want them to access the full potential within their individual and collective selves, and truly view themselves as “music students.” Students are highly encouraged to learn from all teachers on the faculty and collaborate freely between all musical disciplines and genres.
